You know that ‘oddly satisfying’ feeling you get when you watch a mechanical foot gradually stomp into a squishy ball, or watch an artist meticulously color a pair of sneakers within the lines? How about watching a serrated knife slowly cut into a sneaker-shaped cake? For its ZX sneaker campaign, adidas Originals wanted to collect weird and wonderfully mesmerizing moments like these into an hours-long sensory stream called the ‘Zxience Network.’

Our approach

We partnered with the Johannes Leonardo agency and sourced some of the world’s most talented ‘oddly satisfying’ creators to produce this unique, forward-thinking video. And as influencers with large followings, they also challenged us to think outside the production box. So we threw out all the rules. Ultimately we worked closely with 14 creators across 5 states and 9 countries, who ran the gamut from painters to tailors to sculptors to engineers, all with a common goal - to turn the ZX sneaker into an artistic material. Our development process was a close collaboration with the creators, who pushed their own niche processes and materials to visually striking effect. With over 150 deliverables to wrangle, we handled all post-production in house, delivering a 24 hours-long video curated for deeply odd satisfaction while seamlessly integrating the brand and its creative messaging.
